Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about MBAcallPredictor.
Predictive Analysis Disclaimer: All predictions on MBAcallPredictor are estimates calculated from publicly available RTI data and predictive modeling. Not official cutoffs. We are not responsible for admission outcomes.
How does the predictor work?
MBAcallPredictor implements the publicly disclosed shortlisting formulas of each institution. For each college, we compute a composite score from your exam percentile (CAT/XAT/GMAT/etc.), academic record (10th, 12th, graduation CGPA), work experience, gender, and category. This composite score is then compared against 3 years of verified cutoff data to determine your call probability. All results are predictive analysis — not official cutoffs.
What is the 3-year cutoff trend and how is it used?
We collect verified cutoff data from IIM shortlist announcements for the past 3 admission cycles (2023, 2024, 2025). For each college, we compute a trend — whether cutoffs are rising, falling, or stable. If the trend is rising, we apply a conservative adjustment to your prediction. This makes the predictor more accurate than using a single year's data.
Why does my score show different statuses for different IIMs?
Each IIM uses a different shortlisting formula with different weightages for academics, work experience, and exam scores. IIM Ahmedabad places heavy weight on CAT percentile, while IIM Calcutta also considers 10th and 12th marks significantly. Your composite score is computed separately for each institution using their specific formula.
What is included in the ₹9 GDPI report?
The GDPI (Group Discussion, Personal Interview, Written Ability Test) report includes: (1) a personalised preparation guide for each college you are likely to be shortlisted at, (2) common PI questions based on your profile (work experience, academics, background), (3) WAT topic suggestions, (4) GD topic trends for each IIM, and (5) a score breakdown showing exactly how each college evaluated your profile.
How accurate is the prediction?
Our predictions are based on 3 years of verified cutoff data and the latest disclosed shortlisting formulas. In backtesting on the 2025 cycle, our "Confirmed Call" predictions had an 87% accuracy rate. However, predictions are indicative only — actual shortlists depend on dynamic seat matrices, PI/WAT performance, and year-on-year formula changes that may not be publicly disclosed. These are AI-generated predictive analyses, not official cutoffs.
Can I update my profile and re-run the prediction?
Yes. If you have an account, you can update your profile at any time and re-run the prediction. Each run creates a new prediction record. If the cutoff data has been updated since your last run, you will see a banner offering to recompute your results.
